How can i change the resolution of a downloaded video clip?

I downloaded a couple video clips. They are WIndows Media Audio/Video Files and play in my windows media player, but when i go and drag and drop them into my memory card for my phone, i put the memory card in my phone and the videos are on there and show up, but when i go to play one of them, my phone says the resolution is not supported and won't play them. How can i change the video files before i drag and drop them to be compatible to play on my phone??How can i change the resolution of a downloaded video clip?
you can't change video resolution with movie maker. but you can with several other softwares. The easiest to use is format factory (free at filehippo, com) in the factory select %26quot;all to mpg%26quot; in the next window click the advanced tab and there you can set the resolution to whatever you want (I use 720 X 480 which is the DVD standard resolution) then click ok. In the next window select %26quot;add files%26quot; say ok and start the conversion. When the files are finished they will appear in %26quot;My Documents%26quot; in a file called FFoutput. How can i change the resolution of a downloaded video clip?
