PC Video resolution out of range?

Whenever I use my computer, it suddenly turns black and a little box comes out that says PC Video resolution out of range please change to recommended resolution. What does this mean? How do I change the resolution?

Windows XPPC Video resolution out of range?
If it is out of range, you're trying to set the resolution higher than the monitor can support. This is ALWAYS a bad idea. There should be an %26quot;auto adjustment%26quot; feature on your monitor. Run that, hopefully it will bring back the maximum supported resolution. It should return it to default settings.

If not, try restarting your computer. That usually works for me. And as a final note, do not force the monitor to operate at higher resolutions (or refresh rates) than it is supposed to. Doing so not only voids monitor warranties, it will eventually destroy the monitor, making you have to purchase a new one.PC Video resolution out of range?
means ur video card cant support that resolution

800x600 is the normal resolutionPC Video resolution out of range?
Sorry but i don usually speak English

Anyway i hope you to have other PC Screen to make this, if you have connect it to the Tower, install the divers and then make a left click, go to proprieties, then configuration and chose the 800 x 600 like normal.

If that doesn't work use the same as before but change the quality of colors a bar with many colors stripes to the lowest.

Still having trouble?... then do the same but select advanced options and turn the ppt to the Lowe's to check if the screen works like that. (I suggest you to try under 90 ppt)

If you don't have other Screen try using the manual configuration (buttons). Now if you Screen is old, try with anti fail mode (MODO APRUEBA DE FALLOS) in Spanish...

I hope to be your solution

GOOD LUCKPC Video resolution out of range?
The reason that it is stating %26quot;Out of Range%26quot;, is because you are trying to change the settings to something that the video monitor/video card is not able to handle. Boot into safe mode, and change back to the default 800x640. That should allow you to be able to boot back into normal boot.

To do this restart your computer when it is starting up keep taping F8 a screen will come up select the Safe Mode and press Enter.

Go to: control panel%26gt; Display%26gt; setting here you can change the screen resolution by simply dragging the arrow to either side. When you done that restart your computer and boot in the normal mode.

Good luck
