Grand theft auto 4 PC (Computer): Change resolutions?

i just bought GTA IV and when i start the game, it says %26quot;Fatal Error: RESC10%26quot; i looked this up and it says that it means I ran out of video memory.

What can I do to fix this?

Will the patch fix it and if so, where do i download the patch?

Or... Could I change my game's resolutions so it doesn't use as much video memory? If so, how do I do this?Grand theft auto 4 PC (Computer): Change resolutions?
You can download the patch at:

Grand Theft Auto IV need minimum NVIDIA GeForce 7900 / ATI Radeon X1900 with 256MB video memory (not RAM). Your RAM is OK for playing Grand Theft Auto IV.

RESC10 means there is not enough video memory to run the game. Grand Theft Auto IV requires a minimum of 256MB video memory, most integrated graphics cards like the Intel are only 64MB.Grand theft auto 4 PC (Computer): Change resolutions?
I don't think you can change the resolution.Grand theft auto 4 PC (Computer): Change resolutions?
There is a chance that a patch might fix it but if not you would either have to buy a video card that does support it witch cost a lot depending on what you need to play it or you wil have to face it that you wasted money on something you can't use. lol
