s video is not an av connection so you probably have the wrong input selected on the tv. If you have the svideo cable connected you should see it, doesn't really matter what the screen resolution is on the laptopo, you just have to set the video controls for the 2nd screen to be a format that the tv can display.

How do I get Yahoo TV?I have an S-Video on my Laptop and one in the back of my Sharp TV.?
