Problems with resolution?

umm... i got a problem. I had problems with some games so i installed ATI drivers. Then later i removed it. AND NOW I CANT PUT MY RESOLUTIN TO 1280*1024. Everytime i try to do it i got this message:------%26gt;cannot display this video mode, change computer display input to 1280*1024@60Hz. Can someone tell me the easiest way how to fix it ???

Reinstalling your video driver might not actually fix your problem, but it will help you find the solution. The message on your computer was also the solution. the key part of it was %26quot;60Hz%26quot;. It's saying that your monitor can't handle higher than 60 Hz at that resolution, either because it's a cheap monitor, or an old one that wasn't meant for that high of a resolution.

Most likely the video drivers auto-set it to 60 and when you uninstalled them windows tried to kick it up higher with their default drivers. I'm not sure as to which operating system you have, but in the same window that you set your resolution there should be an advanced tab that leads to your video card-specific settings. In there you'll need to go to monitor and then set your resolution to 1280X1024 at 60Hz. Once you do that your monitor will have a lot of stress relieved and it should allow that resolution.Problems with resolution?
Reinstall your ATI graphics driver. The driver allows your computer to set the different resolutions on your screen.Problems with resolution?

You have to re-install your correct video driver. If you uninstalled ATI, which is your graphics driver I'm assuming, then your computer is now using a basic driver, which won't allow that resolution.
