How Can I watch Youtube Standard Resolution videos full screen on a 1440 by 900 with no black bars?

I have a 1440X900 monitor, and I want to watch youtube videos that are 1280 by 720 in full screen without the black bars. I have tried to change my desktop resolution but there are still some black bars on top and bottom. Oh like I said my monitor resolution is 1440X900, does that mean I have an HD monitor, I know it's not a full HD, but since it's more than 720, does it at least make it somewhat HD?How Can I watch Youtube Standard Resolution videos full screen on a 1440 by 900 with no black bars?
its a different aspect ratio than a normal high definition screen. it is a higher resolution than 720p at 1360x768. so yes, you do have a HD monitor, but not HD in the sense of HDTV, but HD resolution.
